Membership
Membership to Diving Australia, Diving Queensland and Sunshine Coast Diving Club is compulsory for all divers for insurance purposes.
| For divers under 18 a minimum of one parent/guardian per diver must also be a registered member. There is a free membership category for parents/guardians. |
There are different categories for membership based on the program you are attending. It is the responsibility of the diver/parent/guardian to register and maintain the relevant level of annual membership. Divers without current membership in an appropriate category (including parent/guardian registration for divers under 18) are not insured and will not be able to participate in any Sunshine Coast Diving Club activity. Diving Queensland membership numbers must be provided on request. We reserve the right to refuse access/entry to our activities at any time to any participant/parent/guardian failing to meet the membership/insurance requirements, general conditions and facility/program codes of conduct.

Membership categories and fees
All costs below include membership to Sunshine Coast Diving Club, Diving Australia and Diving Queensland for the specified period. Annual memberships are for the current season (ending 30 June).

Free taster(1 session only) |
This free 'Single use' registration category for divers ensures compliance with safety regulations and provides insurance during your free taster session. | FREE $0 |
Learn to dive(8 weeks only) |
This 8 week (one-time) Diving Queensland registration and Sunshine Coast Diving Club membership is for divers who are wanting to ‘come-and-try’ diving and covers training only. Divers registered under this category are not able to compete in any competitions or DQ/club based events or competitions. After 8 weeks, divers will need to upgrade to a recreation/competitive category. | $25 |
Recreational diver |
Recreational Divers may participate in any of our non-competitive programs (Learn to dive, Recreational Squad, Teen Squad and Adults/Masters) on a recurring basis. Recreational Divers are also eligible to participate in the Diving Queensland Levels Program and Community Cup Competition Series, and associated events. | $70 |
Competitive diver |
This annual Diving Queensland registration and annual Sunshine Coast Diving Club membership is suitable for divers in our competition squads and Adults/Masters who intend to compete at any DQ Qualifying, State and/or DA National Championship competitions. Note: participation in these events may be subject to qualification criteria. |

Purchase of memberships may incur third party merchant fees at time of purchase. All prices are inclusive of GST. A payment plan may be available for the Sunshine Coast Diving Club portion of the membership fee. Diving Queensland fees are due in full on registration.
| All annual registrations may be upgraded throughout the membership year. In this case, members will only be charged the difference between their existing and prospective membership category. |

This data sharing is to aid in the management of diver insurances and governance including child welfare/protection.
